SignHealth is a UK registered charity, established in 1986, dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of Deaf people (people who are profoundly Deaf and who use sign language to communicate).
SignHealth’s vision is a world where there are no barriers to good health and wellbeing for Deaf people and our projects and services have been designed to transform the lives of those who are facing significant life challenges, in order to prevent the high rate of mental and physical health issues experienced.
We campaign for equitable access for Deaf people; provide residential services; provide specialist mental health services (psychological therapy and advocacy) in British Sign Language, provide support to survivors of domestic abuse; ensure better access to mainstream health services; develop innovative communication solutions and undertake research into Deaf health.
